Was ne Reise… mit dem Seishun-18-kippu einmal nach Hokkaido und zurück, 2000km größtenteils per Zug, Fuß und Schiff. Sieben Tage, über 50.000yen ausgegeben und viel Schnee gesehen… Ich bin immer noch etwas kaputt, muss aber viel Arbeit nachholen und Weihnachten steht ja auch noch an. Meine Kamera erholt sich noch, von daher mal ein Gastbeitrag:

6°C in Tokyo and I’m heading north… brr… be gone til christmas, mostly living on trains now

northern honshu is so white right now… cant believe this winter wonder land, i ve never seen anything comparable in germany. but its fucking cold… almost in sapporo now, quick stop in aomori

got stranded last night in hakodate and shared a hotel room with a korean photographer. tonight finally in sapporo. feels like siberia right now. slightly annoyed by the slow trains :-/

okay, i should learn to read the time… it`s 3 in the morning and I`m wandering through the streets of sapporo, wondering why nothing is open yet… -.-

last night in sapporo, getting smelly… met several friendly hokkaido people, was surprised by my japanese language skills, saw big crabs and a yakuza cat, and met with a overly successful and even more stressed german manga-ka. busy day, tired now. tomorrow I’ll take the boat back to honshu…

20. Dezember

took the ship from hokkaido and now back in honshu, in lovely aizu now, be back in tokyo on tuesday!

22. Dezember

back in the big city, straight into the rush hour at shinjuku station, full of a running, pushing, egoistical crowd… did I really wanted to come back to this…? this was one week, more than 2000km on foot, train and boat. I started with a shaved clean face and came back with a beard full of memories and impressions.

Die ganze Reise werd ich wohl in mehrere Beiträge nacherzählen, die gesamte epische Breite wäre für einen Artikel zu viel. Aber dafür muss ich erstmal die 1000+ Fotos durchsehen….
