Great-grandmother Anmeh arrived in a refugee camp in 1950 and never left. Three generations of her family were born as refugees in the Ein el-Hilweh camp in Lebanon – like most of the 120,000 people living there.
I usually research stories in the Far East, so my trip to the Middle East was a new experience for me. The film was made possible by Aktion Deutschland Hilft and was later nominated for the German Human Rights Film Award.
